We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join the Velvet team and help. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, loves connecting with people, and is excited to be part of a growing independent fashion brand.

The Perfect Candidate Will:

Have flexible availability and be able to commit to weekend working
Be highly motivated, energetic, and passionate about fashion and retail
Have at least 2 years' experience in a customer-facing or retail role
Love creating genuine connections with customers and delivering exceptional service
Be dependable, reliable, and confident taking initiative
Be a quick learner who is excited to immerse themselves in the Velvet brand and culture
Have a genuine passion for the Velvet brand, including our story, values, and community
Follow our social media channels and stay up to date with new arrivals, styling inspiration, launches, and all things Velvet
Be passionate about fashion, styling, and representing the Velvet brand both in-store and within our customer community
Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving retail environment
Be available to work both Saturday and Sunday
Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude to support the needs of the business

Sales Assistant Role – Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of our busy store while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities Include:

Delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences
Greeting and engaging with every customer, proactively identifying and meeting their needs
Supporting stock management and ensuring the shop floor remains tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing
Assisting with stock organisation, pricing, tagging, unpacking deliveries, moving stock, and steaming garments
Supporting colleagues across all areas of the business to ensure smooth store operations
Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards throughout the shop floor, stockroom, and back-of-house areas
Demonstrating flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required
